Essay

Project 6

It is a large project compare to the previous projects. A group work with so many members which from different courses such as Architecture, Interior Design,Urban Planning, Quantity Survey, Building Survey, Building Technology and Contraction Management. I'm proud to be a member of Group 1 which our group has so many talented members such as Putri, who are experience and become a great leader to guide us, Joshua, who are very creative in design building, Diana and Weini, they both are good in English and good in report writing. Overall, you may think I got big head but I believe that we are the strongest team. Anywhere, our group did have something different with the other groups which we have group logo, company name--Diversone and logo and concept (Echo of Silence) for our project--Amphitheater Stage.

Since our amphitheater stage are faced to the Penang bridge and sea, we decided to use seashell to be our theme and concept of design. Echo of Silence, there goes the name of our amphitheater stage. As the irony in the name may sound, silence does echo in our amphitheater stage as it consists of a shell-like roof. Take a deep thought of the seashells along the seafront of the sandy beach, picking up a seashell, put it close to your ear, what exactly was that vibrating your eardrum, echoing in your mind over and over again? The echo of silence it is. The sound reflects the calmness and serene, it is exactly what we want our audience to discover and feel in our unique, comfortable and heartily designed amphitheater stage.

However, this is not an easy job. We faced so many problems and we were frustrated with our design. We are unable to choice which design to be our finalize. Our design once and once again being rejected. All of us were down as the date of submission for project 6A &6B was getting close. Luckily, Joshua has came out a great design which is beauty and functional. Then, all of us were excited.    

But, our frustrate story haven't done yet. It is funny but I agree what Putri said, being a member of Group 1, our life is something like heartbeat that show on electrocardiogram, namely suddenly we are high, then suddenly we are very down.  Our progress was very slow. I'm doing the part of colouring  for project 6A. But I have to wait Putri and Nadiah settle with the dimension thing of our stage. I have to wait the other to trace the sketches.

When it is my turn to color the perspective of our stage, it was over 12 a.m already. I 'm very tired! Moreover, I loss my wallet at the same time. I felt like I want to scream and cry but I cannot.  I take a look at our  group mates, all of us have the sour face... it was 4 a.m. We still haven't complete our work...... I have no way but praying. Finally, we done with our assignment. 

When came to the presentation section, we are the last group to present our design.

It was amazing!!! Most of the lecturers were impressed with our design and project. That make us felt like everything is worthy. Furthermore, I found my wallet. After three days lack of sleep, finally I have a sweet sleeping time in afternoon.
